My Vodafone VoIP wireless is terrible! Help Please!

Hi, I have a contracted Business plan that uses Vodafone VOP. I have a full wired network connected to the supplied modem (will get the model number - it's the white Vodafone modem), and it works fine. I use this for all my telephone calls and internet. Its fast and no issues there. But the wireless! I can walk a few meters away and it drops so bad - add a wall or two and she's gone. It has no external aerial to add to - I tried an extender, I 'think' it helped a little, but still bad. I removed the back and found the aerial, and I have read I could connect an aerial to this with a

MXHS83QE3000 connector, but it's not cheap, and who knows if it would really help. Biggest issue I'm running 2 x wireless cameras. I have now moved the modem through 2 rooms so it's looking through the glass to the cameras only 5 meters away. This works, but still the wireless strength at the cameras is marginal - but it's doing the job. (as I have CAT6 wiring running to this room from the main network area). So now I have a telephone exchange wire running along the floor - and would need to run another CAT6 wire back from the Modem to the network centre to get my VOP working again! My question: Can I purchase a higher powered modem, put it back in the network room - and hopefully with big twin aerials will connect to the wireless cameras, BUT how do I get this modem (?) to work with Vodafone VOP? Or.... Can I put the Vodafone modem back in the network room, reconnect the VOP so all is good - and then plug the CAT6 wire - that runs to the window by the cameras, and plug in the good quality modem there? Any suggestions and help would be greatly received. I am happy to pay for someone to come and set this up - but seems hard to find any business keen to do this type of work? I'm in East Tamaki, Auckland Thanks Peter
