Bypass Fritz 7490's internal star codes so SIP providers *codes will work?

Hi folks.

I have a Fritz! Box 7490 (from 2degrees) and use DECT and the internal ATA successfully for my 2talk sip numbers. I cannot find a way to use the * codes like *30 & *31 to show/hide caller id, *55 for voice mail and so on. The router has its own star codes like **601 for internal dialing and line selection etc.

Does anyone know of a work around to get the voip providers *codes to work?

I did have a dial plan on my earlier linksys ata which allowed for *xx numbers to transmit but the Fritzbox doesn't appear to offer up a dialling plan option with any of the menus.

BTW: I got a couple of Grandstream DP710's very cheaply from Ktech. These paired really easily to the Fritzbox. Nice and clear. Only issue other than the one mentioned above is the time and date couldn't be set (relying on base station to provide data). But putting batteries back in at noon gets the time right... do that on 1 Jan and the date will be too. Nice kit for $20 ea.
