Hi. I'm a complete newbie when it comes to VoIP. I have set up up an old laptop running AsteriskNOW (freePBX) running on CentOS. This works fine. I have set up a SIP hardwired phone (Grandstream GXP1405) and some softphones on my desktop and even iPhone which are all registering and I am able to make calls between them. But my nightmare is with the GS HT503 and the FXO port. There are soooo many parameters to be set in this device and I am finding it all overwhelming. After wasting 5 days on this it is putting me off the whole VoIP thing to be honest. I can get inbound calls to ring an extension (by setting Unconditional Call Forward to 100@localip:5060). But for the life of me I can make outbound calls. First I got call could not be connected at this time message. Then I got all lines are busy messages. Can someone who has this ATA give me a quick primer on what settings I need to change? Or should I just ditch it and get a Linksys ATA? Thanks, Marty.
